Child Dedications

Baby dedications are a time for friends and family to get together and for the parents to publicly thank God for their precious newborn and to commit to teaching them about God and bringing them up within a Christian value system. We believe that making a commitment to be a Christian is a choice that every individual needs to make, so we don’t perform infant baptisms.

We have one baby dedication service a year in our Sunday services, usually in January or February (please visit the events section to check for upcoming dates). However, if you would prefer something smaller or more personal then we would encourage you to organise your own dedication with friends and family. You, your community leader, or simply a close friend can hold the service in a home, coffee shop or another venue of your choosing.

Baptisms

Getting baptised is an exciting part of person’s journey in the Christian faith, where they publicly commit to following Jesus. The Baptism itself is symbol of a person’s choice to leave behind their old life and enter into the new life God bought for us on the cross. If you have been baptised by another church as an adult, then we wouldn’t encourage you to do so again now that you are part of Frontline. However if you were baptised or christened as infant by your parents and now want to make your own personal declaration of faith then we are happy to baptise you again.

We baptise people in our 10.30am or 6pm services once per term (three times a year). To ensure that people fully understand their decision, anyone wishing to be baptised has to attend a preparation class several weeks beforehand.

Baptism and class dates are announced in Sunday notice sheets, in the events calendar of this website, in email notices and on our facebook and twitter feeds - keep your eyes peeled for upcoming opportunities if you'd like to be baptised!

Weddings

Frontline offers marriage preparation to couples in the run up to their wedding day because marriage is more than just an important event. Marriage is a whole new way of life. Every couple wants a successful marriage and so a time of personal preparation for the new life together is important. If your community isn't able to provide marriage prep, please contact hebea@frontline.org.uk and we will find someone from the wider church.

Frontline has a number of people licensed to carry out religious wedding ceremonies for couples who are members of the church. If you have been part of the church for longer than 3 months and would like to be married by one of the leaders of the Church or would like to have your wedding ceremony and/ or reception in our building please contact us on 0151 733 3373 or at info@frontline.org.uk

Funerals

We are able to hold funeral services for our church members and their immediate family. If you would like to request this, please contact us on
0151 733 3373 or info@frontline.org.uk to discuss your needs.
