How discipleship works here
A disciple is an active follower of Jesus, who then teaches others.
At Frontline we place a high emphasis on the importance of discipleship and accountability and encourage members to take personal responsibility for their growing relationship with Jesus. Take a look at how discipleship works in our church family...
Discipleship happens through:
Personal time with God
To grow in our faith we must want to do so. It's our personal desire to know God more that leads us to engage with the Bible, prayer and worship.
Communities and Small groups
Community and small groups are the place where we learn together, discuss God’s word, pray for each other and engage in mission together.
Accountability groups
Peer-led prayer groups of 2-3 people are a more personal and in-depth way to pray and support each other in our discipleship. You may like to download the Personal Development Questions pdf from the link on the right to help you as you seek to grow together.
Mentoring
Sometimes people need individual mentoring with a more mature Christian. This is particularly the case for new Christians to help them become established in their faith. However, anyone facing a challenging season in their life may need that extra support. If you have a particular issue which you feel needs some extra advice and support, first speak to your small group leader or someone from your Community leadership team. If they are unable to help (or you are not in a community yet), please refer to the Pastoral Care Team.
