Frontline Church is a modern, friendly church that meets on Sundays and throughout the week in smaller Missional Communities. We are part of the Evangelical Alliance, adhering to their statement of faith.
As a church we are passionate about Jesus and want to share his love and good news with others, firstly in Liverpool and then through to the ends of the earth. We want to be the kind of church where everyone can find their place and feel part of the family.
Here’s how in three easy steps…
Join a Community
Based around the early church community described in Acts 2:42-47, our Missional Community groups are like ‘extended families on mission together’.
In a Community you’ll build friendships, have fun, grow your personal relationship with God, and invite others to know Jesus. Communities are the primary place where pastoral care takes place. They are all different, depending on the people in them. Browse through them here, contact a few and just give one a try!
Come on a Sunday
On Sundays we gather together as an extended family in our building in Wavertree at 10:30am
Our Church services are filled with family, friends, worship and teaching. We would love to see you on a Sunday.
Join a Team
Serving on a team is one of the best ways to meet people and make friends…
There are lots of different opportunities at Frontline Church, from welcoming people on a Sunday, to teaching kids about the Bible in schools, to even giving out Foodbank parcels or serving the city’s sex workers through our charity, Imagine If Trust.
Frontline Church is led by our Senior Pastor John Harding. John is married to Kirsten, a secondary school teacher, and they have two children, Soren and Reuben. After graduating from Theological College John and Kirsten joined Frontline in 1998 and have been serving here ever since. In September 2015 John officially took the role of Senior Pastor, having “apprenticed” alongside Founding Pastors Dave Connolly and Nic Harding for several years.
John’s passion is for equipping the church through relevant and challenging bible teaching and for releasing people into their calling and mission. As Senior Pastor, John is responsible for the vision and health of the church and for leading the Senior Leadership Team, comprised of John Gibson, Jack Mariner, James Sloan, Kerry Connolly and Anna Evans.
All of our leaders share a vision to see the city of Liverpool impacted with the good news of Jesus through:
- A growing network of Missional Communities, giving church members a place of belonging, and reaching out to every man, woman and child in our city region.
- Church Services so every man, woman and child can be part of a vibrant congregation.
- Good works bringing social and economic transformation to every man, woman and child in our city.
Our leaders are held accountable by our Trustees.
Our Founding Pastors, Dave and Julie Connolly and Nic and Jenny Harding, have moved on to work with wider networks of churches across the nation. Click here for more on what Dave is up to and here for more on what Nic is doing now.
